Fully Guided Deluxe Broad Peak 8047M West Ridge Expedition 2012
The Broad Peak expedition is looking for experienced climbers to join. We will be attempting the 8047M west ridge of Broad Peak. The maximum size for the climbing team will be 10 members, 2 Western Mountain Guides plus a minimum of 3 high altitude porters. This will make the climbing member: staff ratio a minimum of 2:1. Pakistan 8000M climbing is in a different league from Cho Oyu & Everest in Nepal. The support network is non-existent and last year our guided fixed over 3000M of rope up the west ridge of Broad Peak. Trust us, there is no shame in having a large support team to make your investment a sound choice.

Broad Peak Expedition Overview
Ganesh Adventures guides have led expeditions to Broad Peak in 2009, 2010 & 2011.
Our expeditions are not the lowest costed option for alpinists heading onto 8000M peaks in Pakistan, but we do offer a fully guided and supported expedition with deluxe base camps, 5 star hotels and much more. We have led clients of all abilities to the highest peaks on the planet and together we have participated in well over 150 expeditions. This experience has shown us that cost cutting and skimping really only costs you more money in the end. In our experience those expedition members who get the best end up having a significantly higher chance of making the summit and not having to come back a year later.
This is a professionally organized and led expedition, that is fully guided. Ideally you would have at least one summit under your belt at or above 6,000m, and preferably exposure to heights in excess of 6000m. You must be competent in the use of ice/snow belays, and fully conversant with all aspects of technical rope work and mountaineering. You will need to be superbly fit, committed, and determined.
